Fosterville Gold Mine recently entered into a three-year partnership with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) to assist with their Community Transport Program. RFDS Victoria has partnered with Heathcote Health, and Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) to provide a community transport service for the Heathcote and Rochester regions, which includes the township of Axedale.
The Community Transport service offers free transport for eligible community members to access their health and wellbeing appointments and Planned Activity Groups. The service relies on a team of dedicated volunteers, and the support provided by FGM will assist with both training and uniforms for the volunteers.
We are proud to have entered this partnership in order to support the important services that the RFDS provides.
