Fosterville Gold Mine (FGM) was excited to sponsor and participate in the Elmore Field Days, which was on 4-6 October.
Run by Elmore & District Machinery Field Days Inc, 2022 marked its 59th year, which sees the usually sleepy town of Elmore come alive for three busy days of all things farming and agriculture.
As an active player within the community, Fosterville Gold Mine strongly believes in supporting community-driven events and are committed to having a positive impact on the communities and environment within which we operate.
We had a great time at Elmore Field Days! We enjoyed engaging with the community and sharing information about the mine's activities, as well as giving the public a chance to see the brand new Sandvik Battery Electric Loader that is currently being trialled at the mine. We also loved watching people of all ages panning for gold, this is always a crowd favourite!
We were excited to hold a competition at EFD, which had daily prizes of some fantastic farming Lego sets, as well as the grand prize of a Agnico Eagle half-ounce gold medallion valued at over $1,200!
