Entry Level Roles

Fosterville Gold Mine is currently accepting resumes for entry-level roles, and these positions can provide a pathway to a successful long-term career in the industry.

Entry level opportunities may include positions such as:

  • Nippers,
  • Truck operators,
  • Process operators, or
  • Apprentices in various trades such as electrical or mechanical.

These roles often require minimal previous experience, as the company provides the necessary training to get you up to speed.

Vacation Student Program

Our Vacation Student Program provides the opportunity for students studying towards various tertiary qualifications, to gain practical experience. 

As a participant, you will get a hands-on introduction to the mining industry and gain valuable insights into the exciting challenges and opportunities that a future in the resources industry presents. 

The program provides a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters growth and development.

Participants will have access to learn more about working life in the following fields: mining engineering; innovation and technology; electrical engineering; surveying; milling and processing; geology; environment and community; human resources; health and safety; commercial and IT. 

This could be your first step towards a rewarding career in the resources industry.

Graduate Program

We are proud to offer a comprehensive Graduate Program in Geology, Mine Engineering and Surveying. 

Our program is designed to provide recent graduates with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to succeed in the mining industry, while also offering opportunities for personal and professional growth. 

As a participant in our program, you will receive specialised training in geological and engineering practices, as well as exposure to a range of technical and operational aspects of mining. 

You will also have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in a challenging and dynamic industry. 

Our program includes a variety of rotations, allowing you to explore different areas of the business and develop a broad understanding of the mining industry.

We work directly with universities to recruit for this program.


Work experience for school students

Each year we offer work experience placements for Year 10 students who have a genuine interest in careers within mining. All of our placements are coordinated by the Goldfields Local Learning and Employment Network (GLLEN), a Department of Education initiative.

The program is designed to offer students exposure to different facets of the mining industry, allowing them to explore the diverse range of career options and gain valuable skills and knowledge.
