Fosterville Gold Mine proudly commemorated its fifth year as the sponsor of the AFL Central Victoria Gala Day on Sunday, June 4. As a major sponsor of AFL CV and its various initiatives, we were honoured to support the Junior Football and Netball programs. Aligned with AFL Central Victoria's values of promoting health, well-being, diversity, participation, resilience, togetherness, and belonging, FGM believes in actively contributing to the communities in which it operates.
The highlight of the Gala Day was a series of round-robin matches played across different age groups. Under-18s football and 13-and-under, 15-and-under, and 17-and-under netball matches captivated the audience, showcasing young athletes' incredible talent and passion. Adding to the excitement, a special one-off under-16s football match between Maryborough Castlemaine District FNL and North Central FNL further demonstrated the spirit of competition and camaraderie that AFL Central Victoria fosters.
FGM's support extends beyond the Gala Day, encompassing the AFL CV Academy, clinics, coaching workshops, and sponsorship of the AFL CV netball umpires. This fifth year of sponsorship marks a significant milestone, highlighting the enduring partnership between FGM and AFL CV.
