After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Bendigo Easter Festival 2022, was back and better than ever with Agnico Eagle Fosterville as the major sponsor. This year’s festival was a celebration of the event’s 150th year, a proud moment for the Bendigo community which Fosterville Gold Mine was honoured to be able to support.

As with all communities across Australia, and the world, the event was also a celebration of the resilience and community spirit displayed throughout the pandemic, as many people were able to get out and enjoy one another’s company after so many months of isolation.

The FGM Community Team decided to go all out to add some engaging activities to the weekend.

FGM also worked with the City of Greater Bendigo to bring an ore truck into the city on Easter Sunday, so that festival goers could see one up close, with staff available to answer questions and share interesting facts about these impressive vehicles. The truck then also took part in the Torch Procession on the Sunday night, much to the delight of everyone.

We had a wonderful time connecting with the community over the course of the weekend and would like to thank all of our staff who volunteered their time to help with the set up and manning of the stand throughout the 4-day event.

We would also like to congratulate the Bendigo Easter Fair Committee and the City of Greater Bendigo for making the weekend a huge success!
