Supporting the Zonta Club to bring comfort and dignity

The Zonta Club of Bendigo, with a little help from the Fosterville Gold Mine's Community Grants Program, is continuing to make a significant difference in our community through an ongoing initiative that supports women and their families who have had to leave home without time to pack the basic necessities.

The club focuses on assembling and distributing essential toiletry packs to bring comfort and dignity to those in challenging situations, demonstrating their mission to spread kindness and support.

Thanks to the grant, Zonta members came together for two packing days over December and January to fill 50 toiletry bags with crucial items like shampoo, toothbrushes, deodorant, and personal sanitary products.

These bags were distributed to several key partners, including the Centre for Non-Violence, Orange Door, Haven Home, Safe, and various Community Houses.

“Helping to support the most vulnerable among us, not only reinforces our commitment to social responsibility, but also highlights the incredible impact of partnership and community spirit," said Trudi Jackson, Senior Community Advisor at Fosterville Gold Mine.
