Grant boosts Junortoun Fire Brigade’s capability

The Junortoun Fire Brigade has significantly upgraded its firefighting capabilities with a community grant from Fosterville Gold Mine.

The grant enabled the purchase of advanced, battery-operated lights and tools, enhancing both operational efficiency and member safety.

“A massive thank you to the Fosterville Gold Mine Community Grants Program and Tools Unlimited Bendigo, for assisting us in obtaining some new battery-powered Milwaukee tools … the tower lights will increase member safety at scenes; and the battery-powered tools will allow our members to operate more efficiently in the field,” said Junortoun Fire Brigade secretary Suzi Mildern.

Fosterville Gold Mine Senior Community Advisor Trudi Jackson said, “Supporting the Junortoun Fire Brigade reflects our commitment to the community’s safety. We're proud to contribute to their vital work.”
