Community update – 14 October 2022

Given the extraordinary weather conditions, yesterday FGM temporarily paused all non-essential activities at our operation. This precaution was taken to ensure the safety of our staff and to allow those who live in areas impacted by flooding to focus on the safety and security of their families and properties. 


The site remains safe with all critical infrastructure and equipment secured from any potential flood damage.

The relevant authorities are being kept informed, and we will provide further updates as required. 

Members of our emergency response team are assisting the communities of Rochester and Bridgewater, and we will continue to offer assistance over the coming days.

We extend our thoughts to our neighbouring communities and all Victorians impacted by the floods.
