Keeping the news flowing for Bendigo’s community radio listeners

Phoenix FM – Bendigo’s only community radio station – will continue keeping their listeners up to date with the latest news in 2025 thanks to a Fosterville Gold Mine Community Grant.

Phoenix FM delivers trusted hourly news updates every weekday and weekend, covering breaking headlines, community stories, and global events. With a focus on social responsibility and the community's best interests, their news ensures listeners stay informed and connected, especially during critical times.

What makes Phoenix FM shine isn’t just their commitment to news—it’s their dedication to inclusivity. Their programs amplify underrepresented voices, celebrate multiculturalism, advocate for disability rights, and support the LGBTIQA+ community.

Brett Adie, from Phoenix FM’s Committee of Management, and the team of passionate presenters work tirelessly to keep their programming ethical, respectful, and empowering. For many across Central Victoria, Phoenix FM isn’t just a station—it’s a companion that makes them feel a little more connected to the world.

“By supporting Phoenix FM’s National News, we’re proud to help sustain this vital service,” said Trudi Jackson, FGM Senior Community Advisor.

After all, the power of community lies in connection, and with every hourly update, Phoenix FM is making sure that no one feels left out of the conversation.
