Swimming Bendigo is thrilled to announce a new three-year partnership with Fosterville Gold Mine. Under this exciting new partnership, the Swimming Bendigo Super Series will be renamed to the Fosterville Gold Swimming Super Series for the next three years.
This partnership will see Fosterville Gold Mine contribute $20,000 over the next three years to help in the development of grassroots swimming in Greater Bendigo. The aim is to turn Bendigo into the epicentre of short course competition in Australia.
Leigh Byrne, Community Officer at Fosterville Gold Mine, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: "We are delighted to support Swimming Bendigo and contribute to the growth of grassroots swimming in the region. This partnership aligns with our commitment to community development and fostering local talent."
Adam Webb from Swimming Bendigo also shared his excitement: "This partnership with Fosterville Gold Mine is a significant milestone for Swimming Bendigo. The support from Fosterville will enable us to enhance our programs and provide more opportunities for young swimmers in Greater Bendigo. We look forward to a successful collaboration over the next three years."
The Fosterville Gold Swimming Super Series will commence on May 25th at Gurri Wanyarra. This event will include two additional rounds in June and July, drawing some of Victoria's top swimming talent to Bendigo. The series will serve as a precursor to the 2025 Victorian Short Course Country Championships, which will be held in Bendigo on August 9th and 10th.
