With the Bendigo Ford Fun Run just over a month away, Fosterville Gold Mine (FGM) is thrilled to be sponsoring the 10km event and has also entered a team of over 20 who are throwing out the challenge for other Bendigo businesses to join them!
Besides being a great way to boost employee health, all proceeds raised will go towards a new children’s outdoor rehabilitation play space at Bendigo Health.
“Running and walking is a great way to increase cardiovascular fitness, which is a key component of healthy living. The different events in the fun run cater for all fitness levels, enabling employees to set realistic goals and can be a stepping stone for future participation in similar events,” said Michael Dee, FGM’s onsite Exercise Physiologist who manages the Healthy Lifestyle Program.
If you have never completed a run before, Michael has a few practical suggestions for you:
“A special challenge goes out to diamond drilling company, Deepcore, who works closely with FGM … we would love to see you there,” concluded Michael.
The event starts and finishes at the beautiful Rosalind Park in Bendigo’s CBD on Sunday, 5 March and EARLY BIRD discount finishes on 5 February, so don’t delay getting your entries in!
