FGM is providing notification that at approximately 8:30am on 25 November a fall of ground occurred in the Ellesmere decline. Prior to the fall of ground, the area had been inspected by our geotechnical engineers and was barricaded to prevent access. No people were at risk when the event occurred.
FGM has made the decision to temporarily pause underground operations. All underground employees are safe and accounted for.

Fosterville Gold Mine has resumed underground operations in a staged approach, whilst normal surface activities have continued. We continue to keep our people informed throughout this process, and the safety and well-being of our team remain our highest priority.
