FGM Community Grants announced - First round of 2023
Fosterville Gold Mine (FGM) is delighted to announce the successful recipients of the first round of Community Grants for 2023. On Thursday, 11 May, FGM General Manager Lance Faulkner handed over the grants to the successful applicants at the mine.
Following the ceremony, Lance expressed, "We take pride in our commitment to supporting the community, and granting funds to deserving organisations, such as these."
As a company, FGM is committed to having a positive impact in the communities in which we operate. The Community Grants Program is one way FGM can contribute to the community's ongoing social, sustainable, and educational well-being.
"We are thrilled to be able to support these important projects that align with FGM's core social responsibility pillars,” stated Leigh Byrne, FGM Community Officer.

- Eaglehawk North Primary School – To incorporate the ‘Little Learners’ reading program across their school to improve reading outcomes for their students.
- Quarry Hill Croquet Club – To purchase a new lawn mower specifically designed for turf care, to replace their existing mower that can is longer fit for purpose.
- Maiden Gully Fire Brigade – To fund the relaunch of the Junior Fire Brigade program and the purchase of training equipment.
- Long Gully Neighbourhood House – To increase food production at the Long Gully Community Garden to provide more free or affordable food to families in need.
- Bendigo SES Unit – To purchase an additional chainsaw for the Bendigo SES, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Bendigo SES in responding to incidents.
- Bunjil Netball Club – To purchase equipment and resources for the Bunjil netball team to complete in their first season with the Golden City Netball Association.
