OCTOBER 2021

Fosterville Community Voices Survey

31st August 2021 - Fosterville Gold Mine has recently engaged Umwelt environmental and social consultants to conduct a landholder survey throughout mining licence MIN5404 and surrounds. This survey, called ‘Community Voices’, will provide landholders in the vicinity of Fosterville Gold Mine’s operations with the opportunity to express their views and experiences and aims to improve engagement between Fosterville Gold Mine and surrounding Victorian and Bendigo communities through increasing understanding and fostering stronger relationships and outcomes.

Over the coming weeks you will receive a call from an Umwelt representative inviting your participation in the Fosterville Gold Mine ‘Community Voices’ survey. The insights gained from this survey will allow us to better understand current community concerns/issues and provide insight into what matters most to our local greater Bendgio community and landholders. This information will also inform decision-making within the business and how we best contribute to our community both now and into the future.

For every household that participates in the ‘Community Voices’ survey, Fosterville Gold Mine will make a $25 donation to your choice of the nominated charities listed below:

  • Axedale Primary School
  • Goornong Primary School
  • Axedale CFA
  • Goornong CFA
  • Longlea and District Landcare Group
  • Northern Bendigo Landcare Group
  • Wildlife Rescue & Information Network (WRIN)

Upon completion, a summary of the survey findings will be published in the FGM community newsletter and sent to all participants.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the survey please don’t hesitate to contact any member of the community team on 03 5439 9000 or fgm.community@kl.gold.
