Bendigo Foodshare turns the sod for its new warehouse
As a major supporter of Bendigo Foodshare’s Community Food Hub project, Agnico Eagle’s Community Partnership Program team were honoured to attend the turning of the sod on Friday 15 December. Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan, Maree Edwards MP, and City of Greater Bendigo Mayor Andrea Metcalf stood alongside Bendigo Foodshare's Chair, Sue Clarke, to turn the first sod.
The new facility will be on Breen Street in Golden Square. When completed in October 2024 the $3.8mil facility will offer triple the storage capacity of the existing warehouse, accommodating 42 pallets of frozen food and an equal number of cool room food pallets.
This project has received financial support from the community, individuals, businesses, philanthropists and state and local governments. What a great team effort!
