Through the development of the Good Neighbour Guide FGM committed to introduce three structured programs aimed at preserving the natural environment and enhancing the local neighbourhood.
These programs include:
- Fosterville Legacy Project
- FGM Property Occupation and Maintenance Program
- Property Value Monitoring Program
Fosterville Legacy Project
The Fosterville Legacy Project, formally the Neighbourhood Enhancement and Beautification Program, is a co-managed program with a goal to enhance the immediate neighbourhood surrounding Fosterville Gold Mine’s operations. The program will be a collaboration between Fosterville Gold Mine and neighbouring landholders/residents.
Fosterville Gold Mine will actively support the program through coordination, sponsorship, advocacy and in-kind contributions. These efforts will focus on initiatives identified and guided by a dedicated working group.
Objectives
The objectives of the Fosterville Legacy Project are:
- Maintain and enhance the vitality of the neighbourhood.
- Enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of community spaces.
- Improve environmental values through revegetation, habitat enhancement and biodiversity initiatives.
- Foster community connection and participation in local improvement projects.
- Encourage safe behaviour on local roads.
- Enhance recreational areas that encourage physical activity and social interaction.

Fosterville Legacy Project meetings are held quarterly.
Property Value Monitoring Program
Fosterville Gold Mine is committed to ensuring that the value of neighbouring properties remain unaffected by our operations.
Fosterville Gold Mine monitors the values of properties surrounding the operation to identify if there is a negative influence on property values as a direct result of Fosterville Gold Mine’s operation.
Property Value Monitoring
FGM will track property trends through an annual market assessment, and present findings annually during the Good Neighbour Reference Group quarterly meetings.
A revision of the Good Neighbour Guide will be triggered if property value monitoring and reporting indicates a negative impact to property values as a direct result of FGM's operations.
The Good Neighbour Guide collaborative approach would be applied to workshop initiatives and reasonable solutions to address declining property values.
Local Property Market Research
Fosterville Gold Mine has engaged Preston Rowe Paterson (PRP) to complete Local Property Market Research.
Reports provided focus on property located in the Fosterville, Axedale, Goornong and Barnadown areas.
The purpose of the reports is to determine average sale price and growth trends of the local market.

Property Occupation and Maintenance Program
The occupation and maintenance program establishes guidelines for the effective management, maintenance and utilisation of properties that have been acquired by Fosterville Gold Mine.
The objectives of the Occupation and Maintenance Program are:
- Maximise the occupancy rates of FGM-owned residential properties.
- Maintain the aesthetic, safety and functional quality of properties.
- Monitor and report on property condition and occupation status.
FGM Property Use
Fosterville Gold Mine owns a variety of properties that are used for a mix of operational, residential, commercial, agricultural, and community-related purposes.
